Product Description
This large rotary table shot blasting machine is heavy-duty surface treatment equipment. It integrates a large-diameter rotary worktable, high-speed blasting unit, abrasive recovery system and dust collection system. Developed for batch cleaning and surface strengthening of large, heavy and irregular workpieces, it delivers 360° all-round uniform blasting with no need for manual workpiece flipping. Widely adopted in heavy machinery, casting and aerospace sectors, it serves as key equipment to enhance workpieces’ surface quality and fatigue resistance.

The following sections elaborate on its core performance, typical applications, mainstream models and major technical parameters.
I. Core Capabilities

Compared with standard rotary table shot blasting machines, the "big" version is optimized for heavy-load bearing, large-workpiece compatibility, and high-efficiency uniform treatment, with the following core functional capabilities:

  1. 360° Uniform Surface Cleaning & Strengthening
    • The large rotary worktable rotates workpieces at an adjustable speed of 0.5 to 5 revolutions per minute. Meanwhile, multiple high-power blast wheels eject steel shots and grit at 80–120 m/s from various directions. This ensures complete surface coverage to thoroughly eliminate rust, scale, burrs, casting sand and oxide layers.
    • Simultaneously, it forms a dense compressive stress layer on the workpiece surface, improving fatigue strength and corrosion resistance (e.g., extending the service life of gearboxes, engine blocks, and heavy-duty structural parts by 2–3 times).
  2. Heavy-Load & Stable Workpiece Handling
    • Built with a heavy-duty rotary workbench featuring thick steel plate welding and precision bearing supports, the machine can handle individual workpieces weighing 5 to 100 tons. Custom solutions are available for ultra-heavy parts with a load capacity up to 200 tons. The table surface is fitted with wear-resistant rubber or manganese steel liners, which protect workpiece bases and prolong the service life of the workbench.
    • The rotary system adopts frequency conversion speed regulation, with stable rotation without vibration, ensuring uniform shot blasting for large workpieces with uneven weight distribution (e.g., large casting molds, hydraulic press frames).
  3. High-Efficiency Abrasive Recycling & Circulation
    • After blasting, spent abrasives including S330–S660 steel shot and G10–G40 steel grit drop into the bottom hopper. A screw conveyor and bucket elevator deliver the materials to a vibrating screen for separation. Qualified abrasives are recirculated to the blast wheels for reuse, while sand, slag, dust and other contaminants are removed.
    • The abrasive recycling rate reaches ≥95%, reducing material waste and operating costs. The closed-loop circulation design avoids abrasive spillage and secondary pollution.
  4. High-Standard Dust Collection & Environmental Protection
    • Configured with a pulse bag-type dust removal system (matching air volume of 10,000–150,000 m³/h) to capture dust generated during shot blasting in real time. The dust collection efficiency is ≥99.9%, and the emission concentration is ≤30 mg/m³, meeting strict industrial environmental protection standards.
    • The machine body adopts a sealed structure with rubber sealing strips at the door and table gaps, preventing dust overflow and ensuring a clean workshop environment.
  5. Flexible & Intelligent Operation Control
    • Supports semi-automatic and fully automatic operation modes:
      • Semi-automatic: Manual loading/unloading, PLC-controlled shot blasting time (1–30 min adjustable), and rotary speed.
      • Fully automatic: Integrated with robot loading/unloading systems, automatic workpiece positioning, and real-time monitoring of shot blasting parameters (abrasive flow rate, blast wheel speed). It can automatically adjust parameters according to workpiece size and surface requirements.
    • Equipped with interlock protection (door-blast wheel interlock, overload protection, emergency stop button) to ensure operation safety.
  6. Low Maintenance & Durable Structure
    • Key components (blast wheel blades, impellers, liners) are made of high-chromium alloy steel with high wear resistance, with a service life of 2,000–5,000 hours (3–5 times longer than ordinary steel parts).
    • Modular design of the shot blasting system and recycling system allows quick disassembly and replacement of worn parts, reducing maintenance downtime.
II. Typical models & Specification

Models are defined by workbench diameter, maximum load capacity, and number of blast wheels, with the following common standardized models (customizable for non-standard requirements):

Model Table Diameter (mm) Max Load Capacity (ton) Number of Blast Wheels Application Scope
RT-2000/10 2000 10 4 Medium casting parts, gearboxes
RT-3000/30 3000 30 6 Wind turbine flanges, hydraulic press frames
RT-4000/50 4000 50 8 Heavy machinery structural parts, ship rudder blades
RT-5000/100 5000 100 10 Ultra-heavy workpieces, large mold bases
RT-D-3000/30 3000 (double station) 30 6 Continuous production lines
III. Typical Application

The big rotary table shot blasting machine is tailored for large, heavy workpieces that require overall surface treatment and is widely used in the following industries:

  1. Casting & Forging Industry
    • It cleans large castings such as engine blocks, gearboxes, machine tool beds and pump bodies to eliminate casting sand, burrs and oxide scale. Additionally, it performs surface strengthening on forgings including crankshafts, connecting rods and heavy-duty gears to enhance their mechanical performance.
  2. Heavy Machinery & Construction Equipment Industry
    • Shot blasting treatment of excavator booms, loader frames, crane main beams, and hydraulic cylinder bases; pre-coating surface roughening to enhance coating adhesion and prevent corrosion.
  3. Aerospace & Defense Industry
    • Surface strengthening of large aerospace structural parts (rocket engine casings, aircraft landing gear components) and equipment parts (tank chassis, artillery barrels) to improve fatigue resistance under extreme conditions.
  4. Wind Power & Energy Equipment Industry
    • Surface cleaning and strengthening of wind turbine hubs, generator bases, and large flange plates; ensuring the surface quality of key components for long-term outdoor operation.
  5. Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Industry
    • Treatment of large ship accessories (propeller hubs, rudder blades, marine engine blocks) to remove rust and scale, and enhance corrosion resistance in marine environments.
  6. Mold Manufacturing Industry
    • Cleaning and polishing of large injection molds, die-casting molds, and stamping molds; removing mold surface residues to extend mold service life and improve product surface finish.
